Sometimes running head-first through walls, always on the go, thinking about esthetics for years, talking about design a half-lifetime, getting gray hairs, never quitting, and staying human — just like in real life.

Thea Curtis
Biographic Fragments. Thea Curtis was torn into this World on a cold, snowy February-night in the same year Sexy Sadie turned at 33 rpm. Boundaries don’t exist – Thea can be anywhere. Right now she could be the cool barmaid mixing the blodiest mary at your favourite club, tomorrow she might be the blonde housewife you meet emtying your mailbox and within a blink of an eye she sits next to you on the train to nowhere. Strange. She dreams of a life at a 122° Fahrenheit in some dusty american desert, thinks in film scripts and mixes movie-dialogues with her own thoughts. She studied art, video & design and shared her live throughout the late 80’s with 16mm film-projectors. Since 2004 Thea lives for photography – no matter where you might meet her – her Leica X and the Polaroid SX-70 will be at her side.
And finally, Thea always takes photos of Thea. Next to that Thea works as Creative Director of Art in a leading European digital agency.
Personal Note: The photograph transforms the subject to an object and converts the moment into a frozen frame. Before and after are mysterious unknown, however on the time axis in the 4th dimension, exists. This basic tension of photography fascinates me endlessly.
Even a gentle more of everything and we are saturated forever. —
